From day one of planning our new office in Warsaw, our goal was clear and ambitious: to create a space that demonstrates our belief in adaptable architecture. We set out to build an office that would serve as a cradle of adaptability—living proof that workspaces can be fully reconfigurable and, as a result, sustainable. The outcome is a space that brings our vision of adaptable office design to life and gives our team an inspiring, ergonomic work environment.
Adaptable means sustainable
What makes our office truly adaptable? Unlike traditional office spaces, which rely on plasterboard walls or glass partitions, every room and zone within our new headquarters — from conference rooms and meeting pods to lounge areas and shared facilities like copy corners and coffee points — have been created entirely with the Mute Modular system.
Thanks to that, each part of the office can be reconfigured easily with very little cost. Any change — whether it’s reassigning space, resizing rooms, or completely redesigning the office layout — can be carried out much faster and with virtually zero waste compared to traditional fit-outs. According to the latest data, one square meter of demolished office space generates around 70 kg of waste. With Mute Modular, we reduce that figure to zero.
Designing with Mute Modular: two-week assembly and full flexibility
Using our adaptable office system streamlined the entire fit-out process, both in design and assembly. As highlighted by Paweł Panek and Dominika Niewczas-Januszek, Mute architects responsible for the project, using a single system to create the entire space was a major time-saver and allowed them to focus on the visual aspects of the office rather than tedious technical details.
“It eliminated the need to select or negotiate details like finishes, handles, doors, electrical wiring layouts, or lighting choices — tasks that typically consume a lot of time. Coordinating and approving every small detail is often the most tedious part of an architect’s job. With Mute Modular, we could skip that part and focus on the look and functionality of the space. Not to mention that thanks to the click-in assembly, the major part of the construction work was finished in just 2 weeks, which allowed our team to move into its new home faster,” says Dominika Niewczas-Januszek.
Following the principles of the Activity-Based Workspace concept, the designers created 17 functional, purpose-built areas across the 840 m² office, including spaces for focused work, collaboration, meetings, and hot-desking.
The showroom area with a presentation stage is an integral part of the space. The architects aimed to seamlessly integrate the showroom with the working zones, allowing visitors to explore the possibilities of our adaptable office system in a natural, organic way. “We envisioned both spaces blending into one another. Our team members use the showroom as a workspace, but we’ve implemented solutions — such as curtains and acoustic panels — that allow us to easily separate the area for meetings and presentations when needed,” adds Paweł Panek.
“A place people love coming to”
Opened just four months ago, the space has already welcomed numerous clients, visitors, and decision-makers, consistently making a stunning impression with Mute Modular’s universality, stylish design, and potential for future reconfigurations. Still, the most important opinions come from those who use it every day: our teammates. As our company’s goal is to create spaces where people thrive and love coming to, our own office had to be something truly special.
“Our team quickly settled into the new space and immediately discovered its potential. Thanks to meticulous planning, the office offers a mix of vibrant, chatter-filled areas for teamwork, as well as noise-free, cozy spaces for focused work. At the same time, it’s reassuring to know that — whether it’s team expansion, new project launches, or shifting collaboration needs — our space is always ready to adapt to any change”
