The Challenge:
Balancing Focus and Collaboration
While designing LinkedIn’s new Tel Aviv office in the Alon Towers—one of the city’s tallest and most recognizable buildings—the designers from Gindi Studio, along with specialists from My Desk, faced a common challenge: creating numerous secluded spaces for meetings, collaboration, and focused work while maximizing space efficiency to maintain a spacious, uncluttered feel.
Customized Mute Modular Units
After a competitive tender process, the designers chose a solution that implemented three Mute Modular hubs, each consisting of two or three different work zones. The close meeting spaces, which sit wall-to-wall with focused work zones, don’t interfere with one another, thanks to Mute Modular’s excellent acoustic insulation.
The spaces were individually configured using a very simple pCon planner, which allowed designers to adjust every detail and functionality as needed. For example, the designers envisioned meeting spaces with doors on each side of the construction so that the semi-open, inviting space for informal connections could quickly become a closed meeting room with total acoustic privacy.
The Magic of Minimalistic Design
In addition to Mute Modular’s high level of customization, its sleek and minimalist was a big draw for designers and LinkedIn team. Mute Modular’s universal appearance allows it to integrate seamlessly into the office layout. The understated aesthetic of the Mute Modular blends effortlessly into the workspace without overshadowing the overall design. Finally, Mute Modular in Ink Blue complements the LinkedIn brand color beautifully.
