Aleph Alpha is a German AI company developing advanced language and multimodal models with a strong focus on transparency and data privacy. Their new headquarters in Heidelberg, designed by glatz & glatz, was meant to reflect both their unique brand identity and the diverse style of their work.
The architects envisioned the office as a combination of dynamic, welcoming public areas and calm, understated working spaces, designed in a neutral, reduced palette of black and white.
Our Mute Modular system provided the much-needed freedom to define spaces for phone calls, focused work, collaboration, and lounge areas. The architects crafted eight multifunctional hubs, each consisting of two to four secluded zones, along with two separate meeting pods for up to four people.
The adaptable office system allowed them to tailor each space precisely to the client’s needs in terms of dimensions, ergonomics, and style. Moreover, Mute Modular enabled the architects to use the available space efficiently by arranging the units into rows of multifunctional hubs. Despite their close proximity, each room delivers outstanding acoustic privacy, thanks to advanced sound insulation.
